Portrait of Heather Grehan
Heather played in a local band called the Andersons, and that's probably where I knew her from. Her hair style always made me think of Henry in "Eraserhead," it was short cropped except on the top, and that all stood straight up as though she were wearing a coffee can. She lived down the street from me, and the setting for this is inside of her bedroom.
Again, I like the grayness of this. All of my paintings of this time were very gray. I didn't use any collage and that's probably for the best.
