Lost Angel

I had made a painting on this subject about ten years prior, but I wasn’t satisfied with it. It’s a simple idea, but I always felt that I could do a better job of it than what I’d previously done. My only interest was to put a little girl angel in an industrial trash dump just because I liked the contrast between a childlike purity and the grungy trash. My first attempt needed harsher paint, it was too smooth to relate the gruff industrial environment. And so I finally gave it this shot and am much happier with the result.
