Burial Clothes


An interest in the body being symbolically referred to in terms of burial clothes, as in “the Hymn of the Pearl,” was the catalyst for this. Regardless of that, there is no real significance to this, as it was intended as a goony and darkly humorous painting. It has as much to do with my fascination with the skeletal calacas of the Mexican Day of the Dead
