Ophelia
In Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” Ophelia drowns while she’s picking flowers. Part of my interest in this subject was just to deal with the pictorial problems of depicting a partly submerged figure. Otherwise it is simply an illustration of a literary scene that interested me.
