Eros and Thanatos
Eros and Thanatos are Greek gods but the implication is essentially Sex and Death. The Freudian concept of sex and death interest me, and I love the concept where it exists in contemporary literature. In Burroughs or, more especially, in Bataille. That being of appeal to me, I did this rather simple painting. Eros is an angel and Thanatos a skeleton. They seem to make a delightful couple.
