Clown With Prostitute

There are times that you may feel that the curtain has been parted to expose the relationship that you’re in, causing you to feel suddenly foolish to recognize the whore that you’re with. This is such a fool.

My interest in clowns at this period was short lived. The figure of the prostitute is the same as the Mary Magdalene figure that has been used in other paintings. The idea was initially an admission of some of the foolish affairs I'd been involved with.
