Zodiacal Tattooed Woman
Medieval manuscripts often illustrated the relation of astrological signs to organs of the body by drawings of a man more or less stacked with the animals of the zodiac. My interest in this illustration met with my interest in tattooed women in carnival art. This was the result. The zodiacal signs work down from her head to her feet, roughly in accordance with the sign’s relationship to her features.
